Soffía (Soffía Björg) is an Icelandic Singer-Songwriter and an Alternative Country artist.
Last year Soffía was a featuring artist on a number one hit on the Icelandic charts ‘Bonafide’ by the Country artist Krummi.
Soffía was also featured on Fríða Dís song ‘Baby You are Bad News’ that same year.
Her debut album ‘Soffía Björg’ (2017) was recorded in Sundlaugin Studio and recorded by the renowned British producer, Ben Hillier. Her song ‘I Lie’ was the most recognised song on that album.
The Company You Keep (2021) Soffía’s sophomore album, was produced and arranged by Soffía where heavy material was dressed in beautiful arrangements for cello, trumpet, piano and percussion. She invited two featuring artist, Pétur Ben and Krummi to partake in two songs; ‘Play the Game’ and ‘Rodeo Clown’. Soffía is now working on her third album which is currently being recorded and produced by Soffía’s collaborator for many years, Pétur Ben.
