Sigrún Stella grew up in Iceland and is an Icelandic/Canadian singer-songwriter. Her music is moody and intelligent, with strong folk and pop influences framing a powerful but sensitive voice.
She has been nominated for vocalist of the year at “Hlustendaverðlaunin” (People’s Choice Awards) in Iceland where her song Sideways has made it to number one. Her music has achieved extensive radio play in Iceland as well as on the CBC and CKUA In Canada.
In addition to playing her own shows, Sigrún Stella has opened up for such artists as, Of Monsters and Men, Lay Low & Kinnie Starr. While writing her own music, Sigrún Stella is engaged in a number of collaborations including with UK artist Etherwood & Composer Todor Kobakov. Sigrun Stella is currently signed with Sony Records.
