Kristin Bjork Kristjansdottir / Kira Kira sings and creates ambient music and hybrid animated films from her turf house studio in Stokkseyri, Iceland. From that middle of nowhere she collaborates with artists in Los Angeles and Reykjavik such as Slow Shiver, Brendan Angelides and Hermigervill while writing film scores under the wing of composer agency Allegro Talent Group.
Kristin came into film scoring through “Dream Corp LLC”, a sci-fi series on Adult Swim, but before that she was based in Berlin and LA, touring and releasing adventurous music on Ancestor Media and Time Released Sound in the US, Morr Music in Berlin and Afterhours in Japan.
She founded music collective Kitchen Motors with Johann Johannsson and Hilmar Jensson and for over a decade or so they brought Icelandic artists, including Hildur Gudnadottir, múm and Skuli Sverrisson around the world in various musical explorations igniting collaborations between many artists who continue to make music together to this day.
